Hello all,
I am planning to take UPSC exam this year and I have heard that A TEXTBOOK OF HYDRAULIC MACHINES By ER. R.K. RAJPUT S. Chand Publishing (https://www.schandpublishing.com/books/tech-professional/mechanical-engi... ) is one of the best book to refer.
Please let me know if anyone has any information regarding this.
Hello Everyone,
Hope all are doing well.I am currently doing some research (on education in India) and in that, I am stuck around the question of "whether a K-10 school in India run without affiliation to any board (State board or IGSCE, CBSE, IB, etc.). The idea is to provide school with 'inbound' curriculum till 8th standard and then do affiliation with any board (for 9th and 10th standard, mainly to provide a valid exit certificate to student). We teach children our way till 8th standard. This is to develop a more dynamic and relative up-scaled courseware.
Hello Teachers of India.
I am Reuben from Brainwave magazine a children's science magazine (bwmag.in) and we are trying to get feedback from science teachers on how a child learns in school. We are building a web platform for children in the 5-8th grade to compliment what is being taught in school.
In my previous article (Textbooks – a key link in traditional teaching methodology), I shared my views on the critical role that Textbooks played in establishing connect among the Teachers, Students and Parents. The shift from "Textbook Only" teaching came with the introduction of Computers in schools. This led to the shift in the teaching methodology from Textbook/ Reference Books mode to Textbook ++ mode.
I was doing some research work to analyse the Content Delivery mechanisms among School, Teachers, Parents and Students. These are the key stakeholders in the Education ecosystem and effective communication among them is very critical. There are some interesting observations which I am putting across through a few articles to get your views.

We lost Education in Classification of Information. Information leads us from literacy to specialization only. A journey from literacy to a specialization in schools and universities is not education. Unfortunately some opportunists are indoctrinating society in the name of education with various institutions. An educator opens the doors of knowledge; the other closes all but the one he wants his followers to pass through! Education is a process for self identification.
Are certain individuals born to be teachers and can only those be truly competent? Or can people without such aspirations develop to become ‘great teachers’? Are there certain conditions, the presence of which foster such development?
